HISTORY & HOST

When Alois Maier opened a café in Fischbach in 1936, he certainly would not have dreamed that his descendants would develop the house over 80 years later into one of the best host addresses in the Lake Constance region.

Location

Many of the well-known excursion destinations on Lake Constance are within easy reach of Fischbach. Friedrichshafen, with its Zeppelin and Dornier museums, is just a stone's throw away. The ferry across the lake to Romanshorn or the catamaran to Constance also depart from here.

Sustainability

Conservation of resources and regionality are central values for us. Thereby we have all processes within our house in mind. In our restaurant "Die Speiserei" at the Maier we cook according to the principles of the Slow Food movement, when furnishing the rooms we pay attention to natural materials.
